This workshop comprises short combos (choreographed moves set to music), which we will use to explore human experience and ground the body.

Choreography will introduce basic dance technique, incorporate floor-work (that’s right: we’ll be rolling around on the floor), and emphasize exploration: of space, unfamiliar shapes, and diverse movement quality.

We’ll focus on generating a certain feeling or quality in the body– not on our performance. There are no mirrors or expectations in the space.

Non-dancers/beginners welcome!

Keep in mind dance can be fierce and thrashy. Whatever your movement background, come expecting to move – a lot.

Space is limited to 8 participants. Visit to reserve your spot!

Wear: Comfortable, stretchy or loose-fitted stuff. Pants recommended (helps cushion our contact with the floor).  Bare feet work, or a pair of thin socks.
Bring: WATER.
