Miranda Perrone

Teacher Bio

Miranda has been a student of Hatha Yoga and Zen Buddhism for over twenty years. With a passion for traditional yoga, her teaching integrates real-life experience with philosophy and modern neuroscience to continually evolve in service of rooted resilience. Each group session is sequenced with intention to prepare the body for each ?sana, pr???y?ma, and meditation practice. Miranda seeks to create spaces that support and honor all beings, which is an ongoing listening and learning process.

Miranda has trained in hatha, trauma-informed, and yin yoga (E-RYT 500 hour) as well as Ayurveda and yoga therapy. She practices in the Engaged Buddhist lineage of Thich Nhat Hanh as well as in the Insight Meditation tradition of Spirit Rock. As a longtime outdoor educator, herbalist, and adventurer, being embedded in the natural world nourishes and informs her: Miranda focuses on bringing the elements into her classes to support a sense of belonging and interconnection that inspire teacher and student alike to take the insights carried through many generations off the mat and into the world.

Miranda remains a constant student to her many teachers, whose wisdom she is humbled and delighted to pass on; she continues in-depth studies with Raquel Bueno, Indu Arora, and Djuna Devereaux, and her primary Dharma teachers are Nikki Mirghafori, Frank Ostazeki, Thich Nhat Hanh, and the living, breathing world.
